"A decade in finance. A new beginning in tech. One continuous journey of reinvention."
Spent 10 years at a top-tier state-owned bank in China, eventually rising to Senior Manager/Director level. Managed international settlements, foreign exchange operations, and cross-border transactions for corporate clients.
Led a team of 12 professionals managing $500M+ in annual cross-border transactions.
At age 35, I made a life-changing decision to move to Sweden. Left behind a stable career, family, and everything familiar. Arrived in Gothenburg knowing almost no one and barely speaking Swedish.
"If you can build a life in a city, it means you belong there." β This became my guiding principle.
Enrolled at University of Gothenburg while simultaneously learning Swedish. Discovered a passion for programming through elective courses. The logical problem-solving resonated with my finance background.
The hardest transition. Coming from a director-level position to entry-level developer roles was humbling. But my cross-cultural experience taught me resilience. I learned to code, built projects, and eventually proved myself.
Today, I work as IT/Infrastructure Specialist at ECARX while building my own projects. The journey from bank director to developer taught me something invaluable: careers are marathons, not sprints. reinvention is always possible.
Specializing in Java Spring Boot, React/Next.js, TypeScript, AWS, and building solutions that bridge cultures.
Starting over is hard, but possible. Every skill is learnable.
Understanding multiple business cultures makes me a better developer.
My finance background taught me to build for sustainability.
